What is the SAMple Gallery?
Opened in 2013, the SAMple Gallery is a student-run alternative arts space dedicated to expanding the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's art scene by presenting multidisciplinary art and ideas while providing a space for emerging artists (in the broadest sense) to exhibit their work. SAMple Gallery emphasizes risk and experimentation through the art of curation and takes its responsibility as a vanguard of culture seriously.
We want to promote collaboration and encourage support and communication within and beyond the art department through events designed around showcasing art and facilitating the exposure of student work outside of the classroom setting. We also want to foster a discussion of what the role of art is at a university.

Drawing is the basis of much of her work, though she loves to incorporate many other mediums into her projects, and has recently been interested in photography and filmmaking. She aspires to become an illustrator, and is currently working on a number of varied projects, from tattoo designs to illustrations for a children’s book. In the past, her illustrations and poetry have been printed in a number of local publications, and her larger works have been shown locally in both group and solo shows. Outside of the world of fine arts, she is interested in all kinds of literature, fashion and interior design.
